Members of the National Capital Ski Club have the privilege of renting equipment for the entire season.

We currently have in stock approx 350 pairs of downhill skis from 80 cm to 170 cm in length and 70 snowboards from 125 cm to 165 cm - all rentals include bindings.  This equipment is in good to excellent shape as we constantly replace about 20% of the stock annually.

Season Rental Prices:

Skis & bindings
- Adult: $70.00 & GST
- Junior $50.00 & GST (Jr pricing based on Jr boot size 6 and under)

Snowboards & bindings
- Adult: $70.00 & GST
- Junior $50.00 & GST (Junior pricing based on Junior boot size 6 and under)

• We rent skis and snowboards only; poles and boots need to be purchased elsewhere. If you are just getting started, one cost effective option is to purchase second hand equipment from Kunstadt or Play It Again Sports.  Both stores have various locations across Ottawa.
• Club equipment is rented on a seasonal basis. We do not offer daily, weekly or monthly rental options.
• We no longer rent Nordic skis.

How Equipment is normally sized

Snowboards:  Distance from floor to Adam's apple/chin.
Skis:  Distance from floor to Adam's apple/chin (latest trend).

• You must be a PAID Ski Club member in order to rent equipment.
• First come, first serve from start date via: in person, fax, e-mail, DND mail, regular mail, AGM booth or at our Club Office drop box (Bldg 467 Uplands, 200 De Niverville Pvt, Ottawa, ON K1A 0K2 map).
• NO PHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
• One form per person renting equipment.
• Complete first and last names with Ski Club # (for renewing members).
• VISA/MC # must be on every form (if this is your method of payment).
• IF INFORMATION IS MISSING YOUR FORM WILL BE RETURNED.

Returns

• All snowboard are rented with a leash which must be returned otherwise a $10 replacement fee will be applied.
• All equipment must be returned to Ski Club by the return date (to be posted later in the season). A $20 late fee will be applied per rental item for equipment not returned by the return due date.
• A $25 maintenance fee will be applied against any skis or snowboard that has been misused or abused. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as riding across gravel parking lots and damaging the Pytex base or returning Club rentals with heavily rusted edges (caused by storing equipment while still wet). Note: NORMAL wear and tear is expected and will not incur this maintenance fee.
• Please be advised you cannot leave Ski Club rental equipment with anyone other than Ski Club Office staff. No one is responsible for missing equipment but YOU!
